16.02.2022

The team of the University of Vienna team reached the 8th place at the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Pre-Moot Moscow (4. - 6. February) and 4th place at the Pre-Moot Milan (11. – 12. February).

The competitions were again held exclusively online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The team consisting of Anastasiya Georgieva, Ljubica Mitic, Tijana Teodosic and Djordje Todorovic is pleased with this result after months of preparation and looks forward with confidence to the international rounds of the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, which will take place from 28 February to 5 March. The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court is the oldest and most renowned student competition in the field of international investment law, combining historical facts with the rules of modern investment law. The case in this year deals with current legal issues such as the admissibility of intra-EU investment arbitration, the challenge of arbitrators and the justification by exception provisions and necessity.

Andrijana Misovic and Kilian Wagner of the section of International Law and International Relations coach the team. The team would like to thank the University of Vienna and the sponsors Oblin Rechtsanwälte and AKG Advisory for their support.
