The number of participants is limited and the interest to participate in this seminar, which will take place early December 2016 in the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference, is traditionally vast. Please provide a CV including your grade transcripts (Sammelzeugnis) by October 1, 2016, 12.00 o’clock at the latest. Admitted students are required to attend the preparatory meeting on October 12, 2016. Absence will be regarded as waiver of participation.

The seminar is partially funded by the University of Vienna.

  • Contemporary issues arising out of the Hague Conventions concerning family law and protection of children (Protection of Children; Child Abduction; Adoption and Cooperation; Maintenance Obligations;  Recovery of Maintenance; Protections of Adults)
  • Current projects of the Hague Conference (International surrogacy; Recognition and enforcement of protection orders)

During the seminar, the participants will have the opportunity to visit the Hague Conference on Private International Law and discuss current issues with experts. On December 9, the participants will be able to visit Dutch or International institutions.
