Victory for the Jessup Moot Court Team of the University of Vienna in Cyprus

The Jessup Moot Court Team of the University of Vienna made the most of the Jessup European Friendly Rounds in Cyprus: they won the finale against the University of Lisbon and finished first in the overall ranking of all 17 competing teams. Moreover, Carla Szyszkowitz was awarded “best oralist”, her colleague Markus Stemeseder became second. The two Applicants Stefan Holzer and Marta Banožić made the 7th and 8th place in the oralists’ ranking.

The Jessup European Friendly Rounds are practice rounds for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the oldest and largest international competition of this kind. The international rounds in Washington will take place from 1 to 7 April. The University of Vienna/Section for International Law and International Relations is represented by Marta Banožić, Stefan Holzer, Carla Szyszkowitz and Markus Stemeseder. The team’s coaches are Céline Braumann and Ralph Janik.
