SE The EU in a changing world oder: Principles and Structures of European Governance

This seminar deals with key questions of Europen Constitutional Law (both on the European level and on the international level) which are currently under discussion. The war in Ukraine, societal changes and new challenges related to climate aggravation shall be addressed.

 

In the wrap-up discussion perspectives and legal policy issues shall be raised and discussed. Interdisciplinary issues are more than welcome.


SE EU Energy Law and Policy: EU-Energy Markets, Geopolitical Challenges and Climate Change

The "Seminar EU Energy Law and Policy" deals with questions of European and international Energy Law and Policy which are currently under discussion. Special emphasis shall be placed on climate change related questions, renewable nergy sources, the external dimension of the Union's energy supply, the regulation of renewable energy sources and legal questions of energy markets in the EU.
In the wrap-up discussion perspectives and legal policy issues shall be raised and discussed.


EU Constitutional Law – Common Principles and Structures

The course EU Constitutional Law - Principles and Structures intends to deal with structural features and principles of EU constitutional law.
The methodology to approach discussion will revolve around comparative analysis of constitutional law of the EU, taking into account the influence of MS' constitutional order on the EU.
Students are encouraged to actively contribute to the constitutional systems of their member states. Historical considerations and comparative analysis of the constitutional law of selected Member States and their influence on EU constitutional law are then analysed and placed in context.
Current challenges for the European Union will be analysed and discussed on the basis of the principles of European constitutional law.
Furthermore, current legal and policy-related developments will be addressed and taken into account.


PUE Exercises in European Law (How to solve a case and systemic features)

This course is geared towards exam preparation with professor Lengauer, and other persons teaching EU law at this faculty.

The focus of "Exercises in EU-Law" lies with the development and discussion of the case-solving system in EU-law; furthermore, the system mentioned shall be apllied to principles of EU-Law, the Law of the Common Market and procedural questions that may arise in the context.
