Educational Objective

In this module, students acquire (in-depth) knowledge of the European and international dimensions of law. This includes, in particular:

     

  • Advanced European Law

  •  

  • Fundamental and Human Rights

  •  

  • International Business and Private Law

  •  

  • Comparative Law

  •  

  • Migration Law

  •  

  • Law of Development Cooperation

  •  

  • International Relations Law (including International Organizations)

  •  

  • Advanced Criminal Law (with a focus on European and International Criminal Law)

  •  

 

 

 


Module Structure

Students choose, according to availability, courses with continuous assessment (pi) and without continuous assessment (npi) from elective subjects assigned to the specialization area Law in its European and International Dimensions, totaling 30 ECTS credits.

A list of courses (electives) belonging to this specialization is published in the course catalog of the University of Vienna. These courses are considered generally approved for this module. Not all electives are offered every academic year. If there is no sufficient demand, courses may be cancelled. Demand is deemed sufficient if at least 5 students are expected to regularly attend.


Performance Record

Successful completion of the courses assigned to the module totaling 30 ECTS credits.
