PhD Thesis Supervision

Requirements:

  • Participation in a seminar taught by Prof. Weiss (completion with a very good grade).
  • Dissertation topic within the area of research/teaching interests of the department - EU, International/European Economic Law
  • 5-10-page synopsis, incl. section with research questions, planned research method, preliminary table of contents and bibliography

Letter of Recommendation

I am happy to recommend persons whose personality, behaviour and performance I can evaluate. This applies in particular to persons who have actively and successfully participated in my courses. In any case, inquiries for a letter of recommendation should contain the following information and documents:

  • To whom (name and institution)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Testimonials
  • Own draft of the letter of recommendation
  • Original letter or electronically (scan, e-mail)

Please note that the letter of recommendation can take up to two weeks.
