EU competition law vs. sports associations - who wins the battle?

Experts from academia and practice discuss the autonomy and monopoly position of sports associations against the background of current developments in the sports sector (ISU, European Superleague, etc.): Why is sport increasingly becoming a subject of competition law? What is the one-place principle in European sports law and why is it important? What are the possible consequences of the Advocate General’s Opinion in the ESL case for the future of football and other sports?
