The event will take place on 25 April 2023 at 17.30h (admission from 17.00) at the University of Vienna, Juridicum, Dachgeschoss, Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Vienna. Afterwards, we invite you to an informal reception for further exchange. The event will be held in English.
Loukas Tsoukalis, Emeritus Professor University of Athens, Professor Sciences Po Paris, and President Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy, is one of the world's leading experts on Europe and will give an insight into his new book and a clear and wide-ranging assessment of contemporary European affairs - how the EU became what it is today and what key challenges Europeans now face. These challenges include the search for a common foreign and security policy, which also requires a more symmetrical transatlantic relationship, the search for democracy beyond the nation state, more inclusive societies, the development of the euro into a fully-fledged currency, a greater degree of autonomy in high technology and the greening of the economy.
Participation is free of charge. Please register by 20 April 2023 at jasmin.wittmann@univie.ac.at.
